Get here early. Make the most of it.
Condé Nast voted Chicago the best big city seven years in a row.
Add that to your list of fun facts for your Uber driver.
Now as much as we’d love to see all of you before the big day, we’ve got things to do. So we’ve pulled together a list of our favorite places in the area so you can have a date night that’s Brandon & Dennis approved.
EAT & DRINK
If you know us, you know we love food. We could go on and on with recos, but instead here are a few highlights in no particular order — just start searching and if they’re close and the vibe you want check it out: Itoko Sushi, Beatnik West Town/on the River, Mordecai, Tzuco, Au Cheval (or any of the other small Chevals), Chilam Balam (Cash only but they do take Venmo), Del Seoul (fast casual but good Korean BBQ tacos), Coda Di Volpe, Boka, RPM Seafood, and Lonesome Rose.
PLAY
You’re going to a wedding so we won’t suggest going out in Boystown (North Halstead), but there are quite a few places for cocktails and conversation. We suggest: Cindy’s Rooftop, Violet Hour, Sparrow, Bixi Beer, Bangers & Lace, and for our sober friends Dark Matter Coffee.
EXPLORE
Kindlemart Chicago will be going on downtown and by Wrigley Field for hot chocolate and ornaments. The Museum of Science and Industry has fun exhibits Christmas trees around the world. You can also hit up the Starbucks Reserve on off Michigan ave and go shopping to pick up a fresh fit for a wedding that you’re going to. If you’re into fitness, feel free to drop in at Archetype Crossfit — bonus points if you mention you know us. And finally, if the weather is nice, the Architecture tour is always worth while.
